Can anyone tell me how big a difference the actual weaponspeed makes using the FT specials? Is there adiscernable difference between the cool downs of a 3.0 vs. 4.1 model? I have FT4. Thanks

There's a big difference. The delay mod on FlameSingle2, for example is about 4.2. So for a 3.0 speed FT, the total firing and cool down time (for someone with Flame IV, obviously))is about6.9 seconds. For a 4.1 speed FT, it would be about 9.5 seonds.

That's using the weapon speed formula of:

weapon speed x special's delay mod x (1 - (weapon speed skill/100))

Or, for someone with Flame IV (who therefore has a +45 modifier toflamethrower speed) and who's using FS2, that is:

weapon speedx 2.31

Well put Jeren.... Most commandos end up choosing speed over damage once they have seen this in action.

i prefer a FT that has nice spd AND nice damage having more DPS is ok...having more damage is ok too...

but there will come some times when you MUST get in a few quick + damaging shots otherwise your toast
