I was wondering if anyone has any tips for an aspiring commando in terms of what to hunt or do. Additionally, I'd like to ask all you commando folk out there how long it took you to become a commando. Thanks again all.


Also, my "commando" skills are Rifles: IV, Pistol: III, Carbines:III, Unarmed: II, and Fire Support (or whatever it is, uses combat points in marksman tree) III; also, I'd liek to mention that this is how far I am on the skill tree, that is, I have these skills.

took me from novice marksman to novice commando 2 months. brawler took the longest cuz well....i thought you needed to master brawler as well. I sat at unarmed 4 grinding away at the others for a week. Took me approximately 2 weeks to get up the combat xp needed.

My advice on combat xp buy a few crates of c-12 grenades go to dantooine or dath with a hunt group and do nothing but throw grenades.that and kill anything and everything that moves as you travel.

I'm 1 1/2 boxes away from master marksman and i started two hours ago :x. Mind bleeds for 2k + buffs + composite armor = friend =). I already had unarmed 4. If you want to get to commando crazy fast, just get a rifleman friend to stack mind bleeds for 5k+ for you

Start with brawler since you won't be spending money on guns right away then plus there's no combat exp cap allowing you to gather enough between unarmed 1 to unarmed 4 to allow you to take marksman and instantly learn ranged support 1 to 3 which makes going through the marksman tree much easier.

The best way to go up marksman is to start with pistols, once you have an FWG5 you can go hunting on Lok for Snobals who are quite easy to find and use warning shot on plus they're reasonably slow. The best thing is that they're heat vulnerable so you can cause alot more damage. They also don't deathblow. For each mature version you get around 3400 weapon exp which means progress is fast.

But ultimately the best way to gain the exp is to join hunting groups.
