Listen, your best bet is to pony up the bucks and get a buff. Then go to dantooine and kill pickets. They won't DB, they give 2 - 4k in unarmed xp and you can get Picket missions on the terms withoutbeing in a group.... That alone will pay for the doc buff.

and get a set of VK's, you arn't qualifed for them. But if you get low speed ones the will make you hit faster. look for about 1.5-2.5 speed ones.

I copied a good guide from our Forum and moved it to the Web site: The Road Too Frequently Travelled - A Guide To Getting Through Unarmed
It's got some good advice on getting through the Unarmed pre-req....

I prefer doing things unbuffed so I sat in one spot south of Corellia and killed everything. The experience is meager per kill but you go through them so fast that it didn't take very long to grind through Unarmed 4. Having a pet sitting quietly by the city helped speed things up.

I preferred to go and just kick the hell out of chubas and gnorts. You can get really good xp that way. Just go to theed. Best way to level up novice stuff.

i dont think there is any better way than this - being that it went extremely quick for me:
-Get a good set of speed sliced VKs
-Spend a boat load of money on Buffs/Mind Buffs - Coronet starport and cantina
-Make sure to have a good set of armor on
-Go to Dantooine - get in a solo group and grab 5k quencker missions(this keep ya away from relic quenckers and higher level mobs)
-Keep on the quenckers over and over
-as you move up in unarmed - i found blind, stun, then berzerk the piss out of em
- i killed the line in 3 buff cycles and my wife still is mad at me - shell get over it - just had to do all the laundry and she is cool
- stick around on quenckers and you can finish off the combat exp rather quickly
This worked very well for me and the quenckers are always reliable with few babies - I didnt like Pickets just because they seemed to take a lot longer to kill - although easily killable - quenckers went by very fast per kill - i usually got 3.5k per kill - sometimes 5 per round.
Stay away from voritors and if you see a relic quencker - just go get a new mission.
Hope it helps

thats hardly a fair time frame on my part - 3 buffs - including playing with my daughter lol - it was really fairly quick - A 2 y/o little girl wanting to play Nemo and Monsters inc with daddy hampers gameplay occasionally - so it was 3 for me - I can see how that looked weird. Very quick if uninterrupted i imagine.

Good buffs + 80% Kinetic armor + high speed VKs + berserk/attack loop macro + quenker lair + bottle of sleeping pills + good pillow. If you're on Eclipse I might be able to help out.

get a speedsliced VK, use a speed pup, eat accuracy food and hunt kaduu and chapaut on naboo...STAY AWAY from dantooine they may give 3 or 4 times more XP bit it takes 10-15 times as long to kill em (maybe even worse).
If you have room in your stomach, eat Rykarian burnout sauce (give +20-ish on unarmed damage)
Berserk is your friend!

Since I did my grind before buffs became the galactic standard...
I went around on Tatooine, finding mountain worrts. /healthshot1, unequip your pistol, and then whoop thehell out of them with your fists (I advise getting some good Ubese armor for this).
Having a friend that's novice medic follow youis also helpful; that allows you to be really stupid and try to beat up bull rontos and bantha matriarchs. Coincidently, it also earns him a lot of xp really fast.
