How good at 4000 commando would I do with grenades, particularly against jedi. Also how good or how much better would master commando be with the grenades against a jedi.

Well, keep in mind this comes from somewhat limited pvp involving jedi, but in the small amount of experience that I have, grenades hit pretty well... I am a Master Commando, and from what I've read and heard, about the only thing a jedi can't block is a grenade (or a well placed explosion from a good rocket launcher fired at a nearby target....) I have proton grenades that i slice myself (I still have slicing 4 from the smuggler days) and pup'd for and additional 32% damage, making them in the 2000-5000 damage range. From the combat record of the last few fights, I see that I've hit with every single grenade I've thrown, and usually hit for 500-600 damage per. Unfortunately, I don't have any way to keep them from healing that amount of damage back pretty quickly, unlike melee profs that might be able to keep them on the ground long enough to do a lot of damage. I do have a pretty decent collection of thrown weapon accuracy mods that push me from the 80's in accuracy to around 100-110 depending on what I have equipped. I think that if you can hold your own in melee, grenades would be a nice weapon to add to your arsenal. Thrown accuracy mods come at a comparatively low price (at least on Bloodfin) and are definitely a good investment as well. The best results I've had are to touch off a bomb droid for about 1000 to 1100 damage before going hostile, and try to time a grenade toss right behind that explosion. For you though, knock him on his butt and drop grenades on his head while he's down! Just make sure to have on good composite or get the heck out of the 10m blast radius!
