Thread: Weaponsmith seeking advice on proton grenades

I have seen a few people looking for these, and I decided to bite the bullet and make them.


Experimenting, I decided to try 3 approaches:


1. All Damage : 1616-3243 @ 4.9 HAM: 132/157/122

2. 1/2 Damage, 1/2 efficiency : 1427-3058 @ 6.3 113/121/108

3. All efficiency: 1213-2848 @ 7.9 96/88/96


Now, which one should I bring to market?


How much would you pay for say, a crate of 5, 10, 25, or singles? (5 charges each)


Would you like to buy these 1-off sliced? a 30% damage slice on 3000 is over 4000.


Can you put powerups on these?

What is the accurcy mods on the grenades? That's quite important to me. A grenade that don't hit is not very useful.


HAM costs are of little use since all of us use buffs. I don't care about HAM stats. Accurcy is what concerns me.


Currently it seem that speed doesn't matter. All grenades, regardless or type, is thrown 1 per 9 seconds.


They can be power up'ed. Since speed is borked, damage is the power up to use. Will help quite a lot.


I like to buy big crates of nades. They run out fast.

Ideal +21 @ 20m

I am a 12 point weaponsmith on Infinity.. For all my grenades I depend on my Accuracy and range over everything else. Those grenades sell like wild fire.


Try to get Ideal +16 @ 20M or better. Those will sell faster with max damage with 10m range untill they fix the bug.. Grenades still hit thrower

the thing about the grenades hurting us is it seems to happen even if your near the radius and not in it.. so with a rad of 10m and a ideal if 14m will see you get hit at 14m from target which is why i'm so happy maggie makes 20m ones

Grenades will always hitif you target the lair making accuracy less important (however I always max out damage ands rest in accuracy)


Assuming it is for grinding combat XP (which 99% of all grenades are used for)

Focus on the damage/accuracy...that's where it's at. With a good acklay grenade (4-5k damage on stats for a C22) can usually 1-hit a player...if you can land it.
