Thread: What? Mail in-game Grenade PU's no longer allowed

Friend got the mail in-game...Was a system mail. Saidhe couldn't use them anymore .. and then the ones left in that crate would not equip. But others would.
Anyone else get this massagfe tonight? Anyone else know anything about this?

sounds like a stealth nerf , i wish i could log on and check for myslef... In iraq atm:/ .I hope they are still working i cant stand to see us being striped of everthing .If this is the case i wonder if it has anything to do with the rise in Combat xp Grinding issue with nads.

if they want to do this they'd better first FIX the bugged grenade speed.
I hate all this FS/jedi crap causing nerfs for other profession whiuch actually need serious fixing! (eg. smuggler and commando)

I'll see what I can find out...If anyone else get's the message, please copy/paste it here so we have something to reference (anyone need to know how to set up a copy/paste feature ingame?)

I can't get onright now....but how do you copy paste ingame? and of course to get stuff out of the game ingamer and vice versa

I saw garvin's post on the corre board about this, and thought I'd chime in.
Chefs ran into something similar after our revamp. Pre-revamp flameout gave an email "this object has been removed from the game" when a player tried to extract one from a crate. I suspect that the base Flameout definition had to be removed and recreated in a new format to change it from a stat buff to damage reduction. Since extracting from crates acts as a crafting action, the crate couldn't make the item.
This doesn't necessarily mean that grenade PUs are getting removed or even changed. This also occasionally happens on any item. I think it'sprobably due to database corruption on either that particular crate, or maybe any crate made in that particular factory run. With all of the server-side updates going on with JTL, I suppose it's possible for some weirdness to creep in.
I'd suggest trying a relog or shuttle to see if the crate gets cleared up. Maybe try dropping the crate in your safety deposit or house, then picking it back up (this workaround has cleared up some issues with stack/crate weirdness before). Worst case scenario, you may have to junk that crate and get some more. Well, ok, worst case scenario would be that grenade PUs have been taken out of the game, but I personally doubt that a change like that would get put in without any notice, especially before the Combat Upgrade.

I don't remember the exact specifics, but if you go into the options menu, then to chat options I believe, you can re-map certain chat options (there is like a button or link to do this)...
In that area you will see that Copy and Paste both are blank...you can set copy to be something like CTRL-SHIFT-C (can't to CTRL-C). Then highlight the text you want to copy, hit CTRL-SHIFT-C, come to the forums and hit CTRL-V to paste it...if can go the opposite direction too if you like by setting up you ingame paste to something like CTRL-SHIFT-V (again, you can't set it to CTRL-V)...
If this is too confusing, I'll try and log in later tonight and get more specific instructions...

Grenade PU's were working for a guildie as of last night at around 12am est...
Oh and for Copy and Paste:
Open Options *Ctrl+O*
I think the next part is under Settings... but find the Keymap Button.
Under keymap select the "All" tab
Scroll down until you see "Chat Copy" and "Chat Paste" *Chat Cut will be in there but ignore that*
Select it and choose to bind it. *Mine are set to ctrl+z and ctrl+x*
Hit the apply button
Now highlight and copy paste away

I just logged on to check. I didn't get any. Have your friend either forward the e-mail or take a screen shot of it. I think he will have to host it somewhere to post it. I would love to see that e-mail but I see we are on different servers. I hope we can figure out what that is about.

sciguyCO Nailed it on the head. That was the exact message that was reported by my buddy. So it appears that this is an intermittant problem difficult to reproduce and can be ignoredI suppose.
