Help!!! This can't be right. Can it????
I've been using the character builder sites trying to improve my template.
I'm currently MC and working on Master Smuggler.
I must be missing something ---
If the Melee defense skills learnedwith the profs it takes to master Commandostack then a MasterCommando/Masterr Smuggler gets a total of+9 melee defense point and the combination of Master Dancer/Master Musicain gets 14.
I guess giving the MD/MM two thirds (14)of the amount of a Command's Ranged defenses (22)makes up for the 5 point Melee difference.
What'd I miss?????
Please, Prrety Please with sugar on it; TELL ME I DIDN"T CALCULATE THIS CORRECTLY!
BTW I couldn't fiond the tree for Master Nuna
Actually a Master Commando alone has a total of +34 Melee Defense...+2 of that Comes from the Marksman pre-req...+2 comes at Unarmed 4...+25 is granted in the Master Commando Box...and +5 is granted in the Field Tactics tree...
And I fully agree that we are short changed on Melee Defense (which is why it's one of our major issues)...Our 169pt cost and the fact that all of our specials are Melee range restricted should equal more Melee defense then any 2 Ranged Profession Combines (take M.Pistoleer+M.Rifleman for example...that combination easily out damages us over time AND has much higher defenses for almost the same skill point cost...like a 15 ponit difference...that's a perfect example of the unbalance that currently exists in game based on skill point cost).
For template building I would suggest using the Downloadable calc at www.bloodfin.org.

And let's not forget that M. Pistoleer & M. Rifleman (and none of the other ranged professions) don't have the Unarmed Skill tree pre-req that we have... I can't stop reminding folks. hehe.
