I think they should take the unarm requirement out for commando. Commandos have no need for unarm.
Yes having unarm is nice for some ppl cause they do TKM/Commando but not everyone wants to be a TKM and even if there
is no unarm requirment you still could do TKM with no penalty.
TAKE UNARM OUT!
please sign if you agree.

The unarmed pre-req is there for many many good reasons...
1) It makes us the only all Combat Hybrid Pre-Req profession (MAJOR barginning chip).
2) It add a Melee/Ranged flavor to our background story.
3) It opens the door to us getting more Melee dense and possible future unarmed moves within the Commando tree.
4) If we lose that amount of skill points spent we will drop down to a 92 pt costing profession and WILL get our damage level NERF'd (whether we agree or not, the Devs justify our power level based on our pre-req cost).
5) TKA works very well with Commandos
6) By having a tree of Melee and a Master Marksman, we open the door to many template dabbling possibilities including TKA & Smuggler.
There are more reasons if you would like me to go on...but trust me on this most of all...we'd be a LOT worse off without the unarmed pre-req...
And it could be worse, we could still cost a tree from Artisan as well (which we did in Beta which allowed us to craft our own grenades)...

ROFL i would actually love to have an artisan skill pre-req =D
commando/WS 11sp short of masterin both =/ *sighs*
i can't seem to stop either tho!!!!!
and to make this post relevant to this thread....
Commando isn't a 'ranged specialist' he is a warfare expert.... which very ezily justifies the unarmed pre-req
i agree we will get nerfed without it, and our DPS is already pretty low...
i think our best choice would be to keep it... and get more specials for it in our proffesion
somthing different

I don't agree with taking it out, but would like someday the ability to learn any of the four Branches of Brawler and be able to qualify for Commando, so goes with Smuggler. Why do they have to have unarmed and unarmed only? It all reality it should be either, it wouldn't be hard to pick up a "Rod" of some sort and use it as a polearm or as a two-handed weapon, or even usethatHAR/Flamer/Heavyweapon as a melee weapon(rememberwhen rifles had a knife attached to the end)and its very easy to carry a daggeron your leg.
Thats my wish for this game, to add more of a variety to Professions that allow one Branch of something, really this only points to the Commando/Smuggler at this point, since they both require Unarmed, and both should allow a little variety.

And Don't Forget, Unarmed IV alone is much more effective than the entire "HAR" Branch

I use to be a master bounty hunter and us bounty hunters said the samething about making scout useful to Bounty hunters.
Guess what happened? Master scout is no longer needed to gain bounty hunter but exploration was kept for terrain neogotiation for out running our pray.
My point is Master Scout wasnt needed for bounty hunters eventhough we tried to use it as leaverage to gain more abilities in the bounty hunter trees, as you know, that didnt work.

My argument is that you can still get wrycry and intimidate without unarm being a pre-req.
Just like a bounty hunter can still get master scout with out it being a pre-req.
But for those that want to go another route they can or just keep what you have.

Yes...but even with the reduction in pre-reqs for BH, they still cost 169 pts which is still leaverage...SO...if you got rid of the unarmed pre-req, what would you replace it with to keep OUR leverage? It would have to be a combat tree to keep our ALL COMBAT pre-req leverage (which will be addressed in the Upgrade)...And Unarmed opens up the most dabbling possibilities via the Brawler profession...
