I was wondering,
for some reason i love making grenades but everywhere i read that they aren't usefull enough.
Now i have been driving around WS and found out that most of the grenades where quite overpriced.
Now i'm planning to sell eg: imperial detonators for 2.5K (5 uses) with 1000-2000 damage,
which is cheaper than normal.
Would you buy them then?
PS: I'm not gonna post coords of the shop, since that is for the trade forum.
If you're really interested though, just mail me "Sylvius" on the Euro-Chimaera server.
But the main question is: Would you buy them then since they are more cost effective?

Pemp,
I think you will find that about 98% of the commando population does not use grenades. You will have FAR better luck selling C12s and C22s.
As for the price on grenades, there's no way I'd spend 2.5k for 5 uses. I know what a pain in the butt they are to make, so I understand you have to price them to make a profit and make it worth your while. Just my persoanl opinion.
Good luck with the endeavor anyhow.

Thanks for your reply.
And inded think i'll make some C2's or so.
Those imperial ones jsut take to much resources, i'm hardly making any profit charging 2.5K for them.
I really hope the devs do something for your profession soon!
Since from the weapons i can make for commandos i think: Wow, this is a useless weapon, a Ryck blad is even better or wow, these take so much resources. The cost is soo high for some stupid 25 uses.
You guys have been stepped on, stepped on very hard!
Good luck.

As a former WS my suggestion is to make proton grenades and make rocket launchers out of them. This will give you your enjoyment of making grenades and provide a somewhat useful weapon to the commando community. Just my two cents.

It is good advice. The RL is probably the only HW that we tend to use. If you make nice RLs, they can sell well.

I just bought some sword cores that have +20 range. Theroretically when I am done crafting the weapon should have a range of 20 or more. My question is what should I use them on, I have never done fencer so I don't know what you guys use. They can only go into a Sword, a Curved Sword, or a Ryyk Blade.
Thanks for your help.

Range has nothing to do with accuracy. What governs accuracy is your 1 handed weapon accuracy mod.

Oh, I see what you are saying. These sword cores have no "mods". It is a regular weapon but down where you see the max damage and min damage there are 3 lines that say point blank, ideal, and max. They are what decides how far away you can be and still hit your target. I am thinking with these cores you will be able to hit your target with a normal attack (not lunge) at 20+ meters. The question I am asking is what do you use more a sword, a curved sword, or a ryyk blade?

Beside the point blank, ideal, and max are + and - numbers but that is not what I am talking about. Just what weapon you use most.

Of those three, the curved sword is definately the best option. The sword is an intro level weapon, and the curved and rykk are nearly the same, with the curved being faster and easier to use.

Range mods determine how accurate your attack is at those distances. So they have something to do with the accuracy. Your accuracy primarily determined by the 1h melee accuracy mod, that's true, but your weapon's range mod affects this accuracy depending on your range. There's no way to increase the range itself. So you can't hit from 20 meterswithout lunge. The cores you bought are probably geonosian sword cores. Because they have only ideal range mods on, no min or max..
