whats the most effective range i can do my area attack with my flame thrower?

Can someone give me a good place to buy a good flame thrower on dantooineor corellia. I don't want to buy a flame thrower for anything less that 100k, or over 300k

If anyone can help please leave a post!

Well...concerning the range for your special attacks, they are all limited to 16m sadly.

Also, you should go to your galaxy's trade forum for information on where they sell flamethrowers, and youll find most under 100k.

100k for a flamethrower? GAH!!!

what Galaxy are you in? I've never seen one go for over 30k and that was Krayt enhanced. If you plan on spending between 100k-300k buy a crate or 2! get them all sliced, use the speed ones at first, then once you get to flame 3, if you feel frisky, start using the damage ones. Flamethrowers are all about front end damage. I am also a rifleman, and Have Very high DPS, but Ia commando can hit about 3x as hard as My T21 using strafe 2, of course it takes a commando 5x as long in between shots, and they miss alot.

i dunno about that. a buddy of mine sells uberflamers on bria for a mil a peice. then again, he sells crates of grenades for 250k a peice. id say hes doing well for himself.

i think though, a flamer that does over 1200 damage is worth it. the flamesingle alone does almost 10k

that's why I asked what galaxy, for non enhanced, unlsiced, I usually get them for around 20k a pop

I bought normal speed sliced flamethrowers for 6k.

I believe the damage is 450-880 something and 3.6 speed.

I can usually buy a full crate of grenades of 175k or less and one stack of grenades for 4-5k.

Hmm. If I didn't know better I'd say some greedy artisans out there must have jacked up all the CPU prices for JTL. There's just something not right about prices lately. I swear why are people in this game so greedy. Why would anyone want millions? Erg. Things wouldn't cost millions if it weren't for the few who have been hoarding money.

Ack. I hope the game economy goes back down to decent levels. I'm losing all my money just building and getting ships.

Nothing should ever be more than 3 CPU per a resource unless it's super rare.

You'll never see me charge any more than 2 CPU for avian meat. It's not that hard to get quality stuff. Heck I've sold meats and hides for like .5 CPU.

I refuse to change my prices just because everybody is selling things all super exspensive.

Sorry just had to vent.

The flamethrower specials are limited to 16m as someone else mentioned. The cone has about a 20-30 degree arc, so your best bet to get multiple MOB's is to have them standing in a line and target the back mob or to have them standing slightly on top of each other.

Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.

Actually I'm not sure how, but sometimes I've been able to hit targets that are 18m away. Could just be the elevation or something like that.
