Thread: the really sad thing

not content with leveling my profession or my flying, im actually hanging out in the forums, answering threads, just to improve my overall forum rating. i guess right now i need 400. anyone else reduced to the same pathetic behavior?

I don't think you should worry about your rating. I mean who cares it's just a forum ranking I mean jesh...
It shouldn't matter if your blue glowie or a new member. What matters is making posts that are constructive and will help the game and other players. Having a thousand posts or only 50 or how long you've been registered is rather silly way to base how important you are.
I post, one cause I can't play at the time being which is a lot of the time for me, and two in the hopes that it will actually doing something good or productive.

im just obsessessive about having the best things i can have for whatever my standing is. i still try to make my posts constructive. its ironic, because icouldntstand hologrinding.

Just don't end up mindlessly posting. That in itself is kind of sad thing to do I think.

At least your trying to make constructive posts! A few months back, there was a female Rodian who blitzed through here, replied to several posts with a "/lol"and nothing else. At first I was a bit upset because it was obviose what she was doing, but how unappropriate the simple /LOL was in a few posts was at least some what humorous.
Personally, I think the quality of posts out weigh the quantity. Besides, I think I read 100X more posts then I write. To each his own I guess...

well, i have retained practically a 5 star rating on the posts people bother to rate. makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside

Well, there's one 5-star rating for you. 
I have a tendency to do the same thing.
I've noticed that the following words, or combinations of, will earn you a lot of 1-stars really fast.
- Jedi
- suck
- Rebel
- terrorist
- scum
- AFK Spammer
- hologrinder
- moron
- idiot
- dev
- csr
- jackass
- permadeath
- anything remotely negative about buffs
- buffbot doctors
So, when grinding posts like an idiot, I now try and avoid saying thatJedi suck, Rebels are terrorist scum, AFK spammers and hologrinders tend to be jackasses (especially the spammers), buffs suck, buffbot doctors who won't heal jack suck even worse, permadeath needs to be re-instated, and the devs and csrs are all morons.
Just make sure you never say those things, or you'll get 1-starred really fast.
Just watch my rating from this post; I'm sure you'll see what I mean!

Oh well.
I'll amend my ealier comments; saying those words in any forum but this one will get you one-starred!
