Pistoleer Fanshot with pistol = all mobs within a cone taking damage.
Pistoleer Fanshot with a flamethrower = targetted mob taking damage and everything else in that cone taking 1 or 0 points of damage. LOL Its _almost_ a way to make the flamethrower a single target weapon...lol

Noticed that, too. I wonder if all AE specials suffer from this issue.
Theroretically, all heavy weapons already have an innate AoE, while single target weapons like pistols get an area effect attached to them once you fire Fan Shot/Scatter Shot. It might be that the special's effect doesn't override the innate one.
If that's the case one has to wonder why Fan Shot and Scatter Shot work while Heavy Weapon AoE is broken...

Already a known issue. Even when our AoE was working (the 'intended' percentage), AoE specials wouldn't give 100% AoE with our weapons. It appears our AoE is a different version at best, and doesn't really follow the rules of AoE generated bny specials.

Its in the state of the commando thread. Or at least should be (I remember mentioning about no AoE even with specials)

Hey Starnick! I'll give you three guesses why this post made me smirk!
Maybe SWG is like jeopardy, but instead of phrasing things in the form of a question, you have to phrase it in the form of why its unfair to jedi, in order to get any sort of response from the devs. Try resubmitting our top 3 like this:
BUGS:
# Heavy Weapon AoE, upon hitting targets in radius, is only doing 1 damage regardless of special or creature. The weapons aggro, but they do not damage, severely limiting the playability and fun factor for the jedi.
# AoE still hits and aggros targets through walls (however not Doors in the DWB), which severely frustrates the poor jedi.
# The Proton Rifle "misfires" - when trying to fire off specials, the rifle makes a "click" and does nothing completely destroying the game for jedi.
# It has been reported that both Pre-CU converted grenades and Post-CU crafted grenades are having timers excess to 180+ seconds. This does NOT fit in with the testing I conducted on Testcenter (where I was able to test out the intended effects), as those grenades were wrought from Blue Frogs, which of course leaves the jedi little to no recourse, and obliterating balance and fun for the jedi.
etc etc etc
I'm just joking, sort of.
*shrug*
Edited for clarity and Sobriety. By the way, you are a kickass Corr.

Lol.
That may be crazy enough to just work...
Seriously...suppousedly the elemental's being fixed or something with the coming of the next publish (I predict...hopefully soon is next publish and not next year! hehe). But since all the responses I've really seen pertain to lightsabers with absolutely no mention of our Heavy Weapons, im not holding my breath...
But we can hope.
