Commando Archive

Hola. I made an alternate character and I am set on becoming a commando but I am not sure of what I want my secondary to be.

I have already done the ranged bit and I am considering either TKA or Doctor to compliment commando.

My question is two pronged.

1) Are commandos without ranged secondary professions at a disadvantage because of the lack of abilities? I.E. substantially lower DPS.

2) Is TKA armor enough to sustain a commando? Would I be better off with TKM innate armor? Or decent composite.
