Thread: Commandos Camping in Houses North of Moenia
I just want to say that this should be fixed. There are always a few guys that are camping north of Moenia. So when i come back from doing my Missions i have TEF and theose suckers just come out of there house to fire thier fuc**** flamethrower and run back in. Died several time the last days to those guys.
What do u think should it be possible to hide in privat buildings during fighting ?
Wow!!! It's still happening. This type of thing was beat to death on the wanderhome forums with a few imperials house hiding near anchorhead. They would run out, bleed, and then run back into their priviate house so now one could touch them. It has been pointed out by numerous CSR's that this is in fact an exploit of them game mechanics. I don't think they have figured out a way to correct it, but i haven't seen any more of it on wanderhome. I'm not sure when/if they will ever do a thing about it, but just take comfort in knowing that it is in fact an exploit.

A simple way to correct it 'IN THEORY' would be to not allow entry to any building while in combat. Not so simple to 'code' though...
Or perhaps they could add a Rebel or Imperial 'sphere of influence' around cities like Anchorhead, Bestine, Theed, Moenia, etc..that would prevent the placing and use of any structures from the opposing faction within a certain distance of said town.
(Real world example, because I know how people LOVE em)
Say a neighbor you dislike puts up a tree house in YOUR back yard... what do you do? You tear the **edit** thing down and press charges for tresspassing and defacement of your private property.
(Real world political example, because I know how people LOVE these even more)
What's been happening in the Middle East over the past few years? Well,a couple of our embassies were bombed, the USS Cole was bombed... *gasp* A group of one faction attack the opposing factions intrests and facilities..... simply unheard of......
It's just a weeee bit silly that Imperials or Rebels are able to place a house on 'enemy' territory and not suffer some sort of penalty. Whether that be an increase in maintanence costs or the risk of sabotage utterly destroying the structure.... It boggles the mind.
And I'm sure some of you right about now are saying "omg what a loser this isn't the real world, this is STAR FREAKING WARS!!!" Well um, I'm sorry folks but the whole underlying concept of this game and story arc(that being the civil war) was *gasp* derived from real world events and history.
Theres alot of sarcasm to dig through here... so very sorry. However, I hope some are able to see my point.
