I knew before i got the holo that i was going to aim for commando. Then I got the holo and it said "master Swordsman".

A friend of mine said Master commando / Master TK. I know this is an awesome combo, but I feel it is too common and want to try something else. So I thought why not try the obvious combo.

I would like to hear from ppl that have tried this combo and also ppl who have not tried it.

thanks for reading

i think the question is why pikeman or swordman? they bleed healable pools that are not related with commando weapon damage pools (aka fire dot=health), they dont give anything more than ranged and melee defense when fighting as commando and commando gives only ranged/melee defenses when fighting as swordman or pikeman.

1h sword adds a health bleed...which isnt of much use since the fire dot is very powerful already.

tka oth, gives powerboost, heal wounds and heal poison/disease plus the ranged and melee defenses plus knockdown and dizzy, all of which work wonderful with commando weapons if you should be switching back and forth.

not to mention unarmed4 is commando prereq, so no wasting 14 skillpoints more.

'But why is Fantasia dying then?'

'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'

Swordsman bleeds a healable pool? I know CM's can heal mind... but how many actually do? Anyhow, you really won't have the points to maintain mastery in both, you might have to drop your master CM original poster.

Fencers hit a healable pool.

Swordsman (two handed swords) hit the mind pool.

The poster has two professions mixed up (well since they are both listed as "swordsmen" how can you blame them)

One handed swordsmen are refered to as "fencers". Two handed swordsmen are refered to as "swordsman" or "heavy swordsman".

I think the orginal poster is going commando, heavy swordsman.

Ask TH he claims this is what he's doing.

The reason for commando/TKA is because they share pre - reqs.

You get a melee profession and a ranged profession and they share pre-reqs. Swordsman doesn't share any pre-reqs with commando so that's another 14 skill points in the brawler profession.

Sounds like fun!

I'm master commando / master fencer right now and I'm having a ball. Pretty much all of my primary attacks go right through armor - rocket launcher and stun baton.

I love it I can hit any pool ( scatter hit ) bleed / dizzy / blind / kd ( lunge1 + dizzy ) / specifically target health pool - it's so much fun. Low damage and difficult to use but if ya use it right it's really strong - not to mention fencer defenses are extremely high for a single profession. Did I mention the dmg is unblockable ( unless someone has stun protection in composite - but c'mon who really has that? )

Thanks for the reply's ppl,

To clear a couple of things up. yes as El'jah said I'm going for the 2 handed swordsman/Commando.

I'm aware that the reason that most ppl who go commando take TK as their 2nd profession is because you save on the skill points.

I'm Assuming that if ppl can go Master commando/Master TK combo. Then there should be no difference in the points that I will need to take the Master Commando/Master Heavy Swordsman.

Keep your comments coming.

Master Commando and Master TKA are natural choices for two reasons: Shared prerequisites and the combination of melee and ranged damaged mitigaiton 3.

Combine the prep for combat skills of the MTKA: Meditation, Powerboost, CoB, with the Master Commandos Flamethrower and you have a damage creating monster. On top of this add agood buff, Fishak, FoW and the ability to heal damage, wounds, poison etc you have a nearly unstoppable damage wielding beast.

Uh....no. Commando is Master Markman/Unarmed IV. TKA requires only Unarmed IV. If you want to do any of the other melee-based profs aside from TKA, you are going to have to take the appropriate skill tree from Brawler, which in your case, will be 2h Sword.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Been debating between fencer and swordsman since I also think tkm is too overdone a combination with commando. It seems to me, fencer is the better compliment to commando then swordsman. Fencer is a very defensive profession while commando has almost no defense and swordsman looks to be the commando of melee professions (minus the large explosions). It would be fun to be a swordsman/commando, I think, but they just don't seem to compliment each other too well. Maybe I'm wrong though. I haven't tried it after all.

Yes it think Fencer would be the more right choice to take for the defences as it has been said many times that commando has very little in the defence line. I'm surprised that no-one has said this before it is because offence can sometimes be your best line of defence. I think sony were just trying to balance the profession of commando as we deal a lot of damage so we should get less defence than other professions.

I'm going to try the Commando / heavy Swordsman as my holo has advised me to do so. If I don't like it after I have mastered it I shall try the fencer or Carbine combo as they have a lot of defence.

Keep ur thoughts coming.
