Seriously man, the profession is going to **edit**. I've taken a long time off from SWG and I came back with some kind of hope that the commando profession would be slightly better off, but damn was I off.

Just untrain commando the master rifleman and get it over with. Once they figure out 100% of the server are rifleman... they might look into the issue. Ive been a rifleman now for 2 days, and im in shock on the power it has over master commando and gunfighter/master smug. I stopped complaining and joined the fotm... i mean darkside. hehe

What are you talking about. Last night I dropped pistoleer and picked up 1-0-1-1 carbineer again and was shocked. I was more combat effective at that n00b level of carbineer than I was at MASTER commando. Needless to say commando is going bye bye slowly now.
And with the introduction of the beserker rifle. Why even bother to be a commando if rifleman can do it better. Screw it. If I wan't to be a support class then Im going to spend 92 skill points doing it. Not 162 or whatever it takes for commando.
But at least I didn't do the FOTM. LOL. Although I have an E-11 rifle I have sliced down to 3.5 im looking at. So sad when you burn someone. Then they heal themselves. DB you. Then pull out a fire blanket and heal the damage. And all because of a nerfed DOT. Lack of AP on one of two weapons that are decient in commando (believe it or not the LP runs a close second if you have the skills). Your other non disposable weapon does as much damage at default as with specials. Your disposables are so expensive and so inaccurate that they are more of a curiousity than anything. And Half of your disposables will most likely kill you above anything else. And lets not forget about good armor and chef buffs that increase fire resistance and reduce dot duration.
Garvin. You and the rest of the commando community have been helpfull as I ground out master. Im sorry to say this. But commando has been replaced with rifleman. Unless the entire profession gets rebuilt from the ground up, including weapons. There isn't hope that this profession will make it in the long run.
I tried to make this profession a viable combat profession and had a couple of shining moments involving flame cone2 and large groups inside bases. If it werent for that dot. Our TK's would have had a much harder time overcoming buffs and armor. But I give up. Im tired of seeing 17point hits from a 1000 point max damage weapon spewing 2000 point death. This doesn't add up. I had fun. But its time to go.

Yep. It's sad when I've been gone for 6 months.
Play for a week and nothing has changed. It's just plain stupid to make the hybrids weaker than than minor classes.
What's the whole point of skill points then?

OH and one more thing.
Are you aware that the command for the flamecone2 attack is the same as flamecone1? Ya. Flamecone2 and flamecone1 both show up as /flamecone1 in the abilities box. I programed my macros that way and it doesn't seem to know the difference. Is that a stealth nerf? Or is it a dev screw up. Sorta like they did with the tusken rifle. Or the harvesters. Or base defenses attacking the base. or or or or or. That might be something you want to bring up to the devs.
I work QA in real life. If I did as good a job as SOE QA did here, then people would die and I would be in Leavenworth making small rocks from big rocks for the rest of my days.
