Thread: Launcher Pistol is a pistol isn't it?

a silly question but...
the launcher pistol i'm now certified having qualified for novice commando is classed as a pistol isn't it and not a heavy weapon? i'm a decent way up the pistoleer tree and would like to know if my pistoleer skills will improve the use of a launcher pistol.

yep pistol specials/skill mods will improve launcher pistol use.

Yes... as the above poster mentioned... all pistol specials work, including smuggler specials

Important note, though -- if you need Pistol XP (to advance in the Pistoleer) tree, you CAN'T use the Launcher. The Launcher gives Heavy Weapon XP, which I learned the hard way whenI began tackling Smuggling.

At the very beginning, it was just a pistol...giving pistol xp. It was teh only commando weapon that was working (certif and weapon ok). Thus commandos ask to change the xp reward to heavy weapon, allowing them to climb up their profession, but it remains a pistol for any others points of view.

That's actually agood thing that it gives heavy weapons xp because I'm wanting to get master commando and my pistoleer skills make it more useful that it might of been.
