Heya all!

reading the recent posts in our forum i just had to open my mouth again and spread a little wisdom:

the one most important point of the commands while beeing totally broke was: we always had a fine tone. We never assaulted other posters, we never flamed senselessly on other boards and we alway showed patience to the highest amounts a human can possibly show.

as of lately though, with the upcoming changes the tone seems tochange and i personally dislike it.

Keep it civilized folks! If posters from other prfessions come by and start crying "Nerf 'em", don't assault them. Argue, discuss, disagree, but don't assault. Only because others show an uncivilized behaviour doesen't mean, we have to step down to their level. Let's keep this profession and it's community the "Gentlemen-Profession".

whiners simply annoy me and for the "nerf"-cryers i fell nothing but pity.

the changes of our class will not be fought out with other players, it will be fought out with ourselves. If we keep posts critical, but constructive and if we keep pledges running in a civilized manner we will suceed and i believe this from the bottom of my heart!

Be Gentlemen, be ladies, be gallant

Nice post, I just wish there was a way to check the date as to when somebody became a Commando so we know the pre-bandwagoners (aka useful, dedicated people) and the post-bandwagoners (aka screaming idiots most likely). I could understand how someone might want to switch to our proffesion if it is fixed merely to try it out, but somebody who takes it as the flavor of the month should be nerfed and I suppose that means we'll all have to take it on the chin.

I see, so all those "get off the bandwagon" posts aren't meant as flames?

Not flaming, just pointing out some of you have less fine of tone than others.

Dear BenedictAmber:

i absolutely agree with you and that is the reason for this post. I want the tone to get tback to the more usual civilized manners i was used to.

I will have to agree. I just get a little steamed sometimes. All who want to hop in the commando community please feel free.

I think right now most of us are elated about the current fixes in place on the TC and we all hope they go live soon. as such we are very protective of our class and sometimes even the ppl with the best intentions say things in anger or in happiness that they later regret.

I agree we should continue as we have been and keep it contructive and to the point. However many new ppl will be joining us soon here and well as you know,"most" will care less what we think or have to say in regards to the boards and our class as a whole.

S'funny. I'm not an original commando, but it was the profession I was working towards since the very beginning...even though it was "broken". Being a casual gamer, I still haven't made it, but I'm close. Anyway, point is...I actually thought the "bandwagon commandos" post was funny.

But the original poster is dead-on; this forum is very different from the others.
