Commando Archive

Im about 10k combat away from novice commando so Im wondering how things work. Now Ive heard that after using something like acid shot ore flame blast or whatever that theres a 12 second cooldown. My question is.. is this 12 seconds before the adid rifle can be fired again? Or is this 12 seconds before ANY weapon can be fired again. As an example.. could I be blasting away with launcher pistol, switch, acid shot, and then switch back and start blasting away again with launcher pistol?

12 seconds before you can do anything besides running away.

My Actual experience has been upward of 18 sec, before I could fire another weapon. I fired watched the clock and waited till the next time it fired...18 sec at tier 2. However that was not with the best possible stats on my Flamer using Flame cone 1
