Should I go up heavy weapons support, flamethrower, or acid rifle? i've never even seen an acid rifle or rocket launcher on our server yet, and the FT's really suck right now. But after the TC changes are in... well, I just don't know.

The new flamethrower is gonna produce 100dps+ unspecialed(Heh) And you can add 30dps for the burning effect from flame single 1

HAR is probably gonna do more in the end tho.

Also, If you look at the rocket launcher changes you can assume that the Heavy Weapons Support line is only gonna get more insane

I am going with HAR just because, I don't know... burning down a mob with acid just makes me all warm and fuzzy. How more masochistic and you get?? I think only a heavy urinator could compete in coolness...

1000 DPS jedi? Its actually more like (1100)/2*5.5=100 DPS against an UNARMORED target. Cut it in half for Ar1. 1/4 for Ar2 and 1/8 for Ar3. Also factor in that heat is a common resistance on armor. Its better than your average pistol but its nothing special.

What armor are you talking about that is resistant to heat, exactly?

All player armors but Composite are vulnerable to heat. In PvP the flamethrower will be a nice weapon.

Newcaesar you need to go try out a game called 'Postal 2'. If you like stuff like that, then you'll love this game Its all I play when servers are down and being patched Great for downtime to play on 2nd comp as well, inbetween making camps or whatever

Most players worth their salt use composite for PvP or ST armor or Rebel Marine, all are resistant to heat. Animals out in the wild very often have heat resistance, tatooine especially. I have both heat and acid damage (FWG and Scatter) and the FWG is nice against certain things but for the majority acid is just as effective if not better than heat.

That is kinda what i ment tho, 100dps is appealing to some people, But against anything with an Armor rating or a Heat resistance and you can basicly start cutting that number in half....this is true for any weapon.

I assume they are still holding off on reworking the armor ratings(although if i were a Dev it would be the first step)...But like what has been pointed out many times....The Commando, The Armor Peircing Profession, has the least amount of armor peircing weapons avalible.

Anyhow, Best bet is to wait and See whatthe Favorite Weaponsmith on your server is Producing and then Choose what ya like more from there
