Hello, I am brand new to the Commando class, I started using my launcher pistol today to gain Heavy weapons xp, and I am not getting any. I actually did get HW xp once, but now I get none and, and it shows only pistol xp from when I use suppresion fire on the mob.

Is this a known bug?

Supression fire has never given HWxp, I do believe that is a bug since all other marksman/pistoleer skills when used still grant HWxp from the launcher pistol.

Im not sure what the problem is with not getting HWxp in general tho, everything else done with a launcher pistol does seem to give HWxp in my experience.

an example of what happened, I was killing a Seething Bol Crusher on dantooine.

with my Pistols (before I made the combat xp for Commando) I would get an average of 2800-3200 xp a kill

I finally train Commando, go back with my launcher pistol, and actually hit the Bols harder because they have a Blast vuln, and I get full Heavy Weapons XP on the first Bol I kill (around 3800). Every kill after that I did not receive HW xp. I wouldget 40 pistolxp and 4 combat xp. This happened 5 times in a row, then I logged off in disgust.

I have been reading these forums a lot trying to get a working knowledge of what I need to do to make Commando, I have read about most of the problems and went Commando a few weeks ago anyways, but I never heard about this type of problem.

Well I bought it at a weaponsmiths vendor, the creater says Tag Maw, I dont know if that is an NPC or not but it is not the name of the weaponsmith I bought it from. I relogged and killed another Bol, and still got no xp, I opened a ticket, I will see what the CSR has to say,

and I am gonna go buy another launcher pistol in the meantime
