Thread: How the hell do you guys solo Krayts?
That's a good question really. Allegedly it invloves setting stuff on fire and letting the DoT(s)(need many applications)take it's course while you run like mad and try to stay alive.
Not sure on how succesful it is as I haven't had a chance to try it yet myself, I'd imagine it would kill your armor though (which would seem really annoying since you need 80% comp to solo that sort of thing... and buffs... and assorted foods...)
Not easy. You have to find a DeLorian and get it up to 88 miles per hour. Hopefully you get a few sparks and stuff and then land yourself in a time where Commandos can STACK burns. Then let's hope you have some meat shields. Many!
If not...then ask a Rifleman to teach you some skills and maybe watch one of them do it.
Good luck on the DeLorian! Riflemen seem quite plentiful nowadays...so try that route...or any FOTW.

Braven
1. Full HAM Buffs.
2. Brandy and Canape.
3. 90% Comp Armor.
4. Muon For Backup.
5. Intimidate, Flame Single 2, Flame Cone 1, Repeat.
6. Heal as Needed.
7. Enjoy the loot (If you get any)
8. How's this work? Remember while Intimidated you deal DOUBLE DAMAGE while taking 50% DAMAGE REDUCTION. They will only hit you for like 50-100 DMG lol.
Use Intimidate, Flame on, Flame on, unequip Flammer to loose the 2.5X modifier use TKA center and whap out some kd's and wait for a stick and flame on again. Rise and repeat.

You can stack flamesingle1 and flamesingle2. I don't have master commando so I'm not sure if you can stack flamesingle2 and flamecone2 - that would be nice.

anyway, commando's soloing krayts is like a novice brawler soloing a dark jedi guardian 4/4/4/4
tried it last night..not fun at all..
Sounds like you need a different technique - there are plenty of techniques above that work. Basically all the techniques I've seen involve landing a double fire dot and waiting it out (besides rockets, I tried that yesterday, I have 0040 commandoand missed like hell). I have two more techniques to add.
1) Pull the krayt up a hill. It does not seem that it needs to be all that big of a hill. Move around a bit until you get to a position where the krayt is missing most of the time, then stay there.
2) Pull the krayt towards a lair of other MOB's. This is especially useful if you are having problems keeping your HAM up. Krayt's are so aggressive that they go after anything that moves and this can give you some extra time to heal, pop a brandy, etc. It's not like a lair of dewbacks is going to outdamage you, so use them as a distraction instead.
Here is a pic of me using both of those strategies. http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=70449
