Wait! I actually found a use for the HAR!

On Lowca this week, some really fine carnivore meat spawned on Endor. Our Chef asked us all to get as much as possible so a grinding BE could make him some schematics for additives and we could all then have super-foods for awhile. So I went to Endor the other nite and, lo and behold, desert borgles (found in forests -- lol!) turned out to be fairly heat resistant but HATED acid! Pulled out my speed-sliced HAR and had some fun!

Did my weapon switching thing too: bleed 'em with the carbine, DOT 'em with the flamer, then finish 'em off with the HAR. Lotta fun stuf on Endor to play with different weapons if you're into using that arsenal you carry around in your inventory.

Of course Fierce Borgles are 100% acid resistant (doesn't even dent 'em) but are one-shots with the flamer. So don't bungle your borgles.

Its HAM cost is too high and its way to slow, but it will be gone soon I feel and LP specials and a new heavy weapon will be added. I hope this statement comes true, lol.

much better in the geo caves. acid vuln, i can pretty much always get loot rights with my 3.7 850 max.

I still prefer my DX2 for acid damage.

I knew there had to be a use out there somewhere, besides decorating the wall in my house.

The only real use for my HAR was when my friends wanted to get XPs. I took out my HAR and pretty much spamed the attack button. When every i use the overcharge, I would say 90% of the time i would miss. But when i used the attack button i would hit more and damage faster then if i used any of its specials. Its specials are too slow and i can do more damage by just letting the HAR attack. This also helped my friends get XPs.

I also used the Master Marksman stuff as well. When hunting i used action shot from my carbin to stop creaturs so my friends can attack and grind thier xps. I also used the surpression shot using pistols depending on how close or how far i was.So its good to go hunting with a commando. Other then that Flame rocks and HAR just down right suxs. No other real use for the HAR.

I scratch my ass with the HAR. Only valid use to be honest. Having M.Rifleman is much more effective for dealing acid damgae than we could dream of so might as well go up that proff and buy a disruptor.

I use mine as a club to defend my livingroom against icky spiders and bugs that get in through the pet door.

At Master Commando, which I am, I hit 95%+ of the time with my HAR and do around 4-5K of damage on most creatures. If you're buffed, HAM hit is neglibile. If you're doing commando to get the flamethrower, then HAR is not for you. Useful at master when used in the right situations by people who know how to use it effectively.

MyHAR still hangs on the wall. Only take it down to show rookies the "lightshow" it creates..before both I and them put the HARs back on the wall.

yes you hit 95% of the time.... but only spaming attack. Try an overshot and you will miss 95% of the time!!!!

4-5K of damage? Yeah right... only when your 15m away from your target spaming the acid single2 then wait about 15 to 20 seconds then repeat! Thats as good as it gets with the HAR. The HAR is good for PVE when you just simply attack. The rate of fire is faster then if you use a special and you do 1-1.5k of damage every round and by the time a special like acid single2 is done you have already made 6 to 7 regular attacks. It just dosent pay to do a special attack with the HAR unless the creature or NPC is almost dead. Ohh and for PVP.... everyone has resists for Acid so when you see someone with Composite armor which is 95% of the PVPers then put your HAR away, it just down right blows chunks.
