Where can I get the best exp for flame thrower?!?

I'd say it depends

If you are Novice Commando your accurcy blows so you can't fight "harder" enemies since you would end up missing A LOT. I hunts Scyks on Tatooine and get 750 XP per kill with a pet. Its a prett fast pace I'd say. Works for me, this is where I'm at now.

I tried to hunt on Lok for tougher missions, but they were a little hard to solo. Langlatchs (think so) could I kill pretty easy for 10000 XP. Also Perlaks (sp??) I could kill, only the lair spawned alot of them so I had to give up, got too hard with 3 perlaks attacking me.

I have just got novice Commando and took my gsp pet up to Dantooine Imperial Outpost and am soloing Hurton and Picket missions for somewhere around 2k-3k Heavy Weapons Xp per kill. Just got flame single 1 in the matter of a few hours and am going to race to keep going before they nerf CH and my ability to use the GSP (currently 1-1-0-0) will probably dissapear.

At novice I have just been using overcharge which has been hitting on average 1 out of 4 shots (does huge dmg when it does hit - close to 5k sometimes) but now that I worked through that and can use flamesingle 1 it has switched and I now hit 3 out of 4 shots for roughly 2k-3k a time. Overcharge has crippled my first flamethrower but was a loss I was prepared to take to get me started on the flame tree.

Dathomir missions hunting brackasts with a gsp or similar pet are also high value xp.

This may sound crazy but what I've done over the last few days was go to Kaadara and just run Imperial missions. I say Kaadara because missions will spawn closer to you, about 700m away. I was doing lvl 21 missions solo and getting around 2k-3k per rebel killed. I didn't have pets or troopers with me. Just use health shot and wait for them to come at you. Health shot usually pulls just one out. I advanced up to flame4 and Field Tactics 3 in a little under 15 hours (% hrs for 3 days). This also helped me get my first AT-ST, which I will prolly never use now.

With a good group or pet, Mt.Squills on tatooine are great. They give about 3k xp and are vulnerable to fire attacks. With a few flame ones they drop in 30 seconds. Plus the missions for them give out 10k.

OK, if someone could clarify this for me:

The most I have ever gotten I beleive for killing anything is in th3k range for XP. Ajo79 says he got 10000xp for killing Langlatches, of which I have killed many and not gotten that much XP.

Are you saying you got 10000xp per, or for the group of them?

OK, I also like hunting on Lok. I got from Flame2 to Flame 4 and the HAR & HW tree in a few days killing Snorbals, Gurks, Kimo's, and doing Imp Missions from the Imp Outpost. There are a few Cities out there now, and they should have shuttle ports in a couple days (Thurday Midnight), So the trek out there won't be so bad (about 8k). (Just realized you maybe on a different server, doh!) But I'm guessing most servers will have a City out in that prime location.

You probably know this, but if you can get a doctor and entertainer to buff you, this will make a world of a difference. A good doctor should be able to increase your stats up to around 2500 EXTRA. You will have no problem soloing a bunch of stuff, and will be the life of the party if your in a group.

Also, I recomend getting a GREAT suit of composite armor. There are good one's and then there are great one's. And yes they tend to be very expensive, but in my opionion, worth it. I am sure there are better suits, but as an example I will post the atats on mine, which has been sliced. It has an 80% resist on Electricity, and a 78% resist against everything else. Try to get something in in the 60% range, at least, then you can get it sliced.

Those are but a few suggestions. Hope they help.

composite armor on corbantis sucks then. i have one sliced for encumbrance and other for resists, neither comes close to your stats. mine are like 65% kinetic, 58% everything else (sliced). lol and that is supposedly by the best armorsmith, although prolly not with the best resources

Sorry, my mistake, a typo. I meant of course 1000 XP only. And it were hardly langlatchs either, do they live on Lok?

Sorry for the confusion.

Try the Leviqsqualls on Rori, there is a very simple method to dealing with them. Get 64m away from one, make sure its isolated or it'll bring it's friends with it. Start firing, once the critter gets to 24m switch to an accurate and fast pistol. Use supression fire to force it to kneel. Bring up the flamer again, fire a single normal blast followed my a flame single 1. The Levisquall will either be nearly dead or totally dead now for an easy 3000xp

Get a good non-ch pet or novice CH and a gronda and go do bol missions. 3k per bol, 12 per lair plus the lair itself. They don't death blow, and you can just cone and run and wait for them to fall. The missions give out 8k+ in payout.

If you take your favorite buddy who has a DoT such as bleed or poison, they can make it much easier for you. If they only bleed or poison the creature and then peace without doing any other attacks the HAM will drain faster for you and you'll get all the XP for your flamethrower. I think they may get some combat XP, but they won't get the weapon XP and it'll all go to you. I helped my buddy get his first level of flame taht way. Don't be discouraged, your accuracy will get much better with your first level. Good thing too. I was getting tired of watching him miss all the time

as a commando you should be able to give any target a DOT (health shot) with the marksman skills you have. get 64m away and kneel with a pistol, use healthshot and peace immediately. after a few seconds he will bleed again and charge you, equip FT and kite until it's dead

Oh yeah... I should have thought about that. If you're fighting something kind of tough you can find a combat medic with a health poison that could help you take it down that much faster without stealing any xp.
