Thread: PVP Opinion How do Commandos do against Bounty Hunters?
More importantly, is this group or solo PvP your talking about.
If you offer a duel to a MBH, expect to be waking up in the clone center if the person know's what they are doing. They will move as far away as they feel is needed (64 meters) accept duel, and you'll be on the ground from having taken a beating long before you ever close to 16 meters to actually use the FT for something useful.
If it's "I bumped into a Overt BH, as I stepped off the shuttle" then it's possible you might win. If you got your special off, and then got yourself out of range till they dropped, or the Flame DOT incapped them, before they could DB you, and you got up first (yes, the DOT does incap still) then maybe you win, if not, if you landed the DOT, you can be assured that you'll be ready for the next battle walking out of the clone center in better shape than they are wound wise, even if they did win.
If it's group PvP, you have more than a fighting chance. Let others engage first, then sneak up and zap as many as you can, while retreating the moment after you fire that special. Any you managed to hit, will shortly be out of commission, and there pet(s) will be at your mercy. Just remember, your a high damage support class in PvP, and you'll do well.

They don't...they die...
Commandos have to be within 16m to fire their only attack that does anything...flame single/cone.
On the way from 64m to 16m, the BH fires knockdown, dizzys (can't get up), and eyeshots in a rapid fire sequence until you are dead.
To add insult to injury, a BH might also place the commando on fire(yes BH's have fire too, that is even more effective than ours) before they commence eyeshotting.
The ONLY way commandos have any effectiveness in PvP is to have a large group to distract the opposing players, to run in quickly and flame, and run away to await the 10 to 15 second delay.
ive killed several bh, its all because i was within 16m, and i 1 hit killed with flamesingle2. if u r within 16m and got urself a nice flamethrower then you can win with just 1 hit
Am I the only commando in the universe that uses RL's? They work great.
