What weapon-powerups can be used (and should be used) on commando weapons- like the flamethrower?

You cannot powerup heavy weapons, or so I'm told.

Correct, there are no heavy weapons powerups that I know of.

But you can powerup a Launcher Pistol.. and it give Heavy Weapon XP..

That is correct...Ranged (non-Heavy) power-ups work for the LP...The devs orginally planned to have Heavy Weapon Power-Ups in game, but my guess is that either they felt they were unbalanced, or never got around to adding them into due to the belief that they may unbalance thing...

Either way, although the vendors have a place for them, Heavy Weapon Power-Ups do not currently exist in game...
