Does TK defenses compliment commando, am i able to ank anything better, thanks for your input

yes, all melee/ranged defense mods and the like help out commando... but if you're just getting it for defense, go fencer.. it's got the best defense in the game... but if you also want meditate (EXTREMELY useful) and better offense than fencer, TKM is definately the way to go..

if you are going commando, tk is one of the best commando compliment professions.

Yes it's a popular combination these days, though I didn't bother holding onto master and just have commando 0040 and TKM along with pistoleer 0040, scout 3000 and medic 1000 for some of the nice defenses in pistoleer as well as the ability to put the LP of more use.
