I'm looking for good guides on the Warren, the Geo Caves, the Rebel and Imperial Themeparks, Jabba's Themepark, The Hermit/Hero Quests, The Village Quests, and anything else you think might be helpful to other players, especially other Commandos...
  


• Any Artists Out There? Send me (at the same address above) your ideas for new images that could appear at the top of the site...Just like the Forums, I can occasionally change the theme of the site as well as let site members choose their favorite theme look and feel (there are already a few to choose from)...
  


• Any Flash Designers out there? We need a good openning that leads into out new site...Something that would appear at http://www.swgcommando.com/ and send people into the site...So if you want to show off your talents and your Commando Spirit, send your Flash ideas to [email protected]. If I get more then one Flash design, I'll put it up to a vote amoungst our community as to which one we go with...

• There is currently a lot of lag on the site for some people. I'm going to work on a Database and site clean-up of unused data this weekend. That should help relieve some of the lag. I'm also going to retool some of the images to better optimize them for speed...For those with slower connection, you can go into "My Account" once logged in and choose a different, less graphic intensive, theme format that should speed up the site for you.


• There isn't really anything at http://www.swgcommando.com/ . While I wait for someone who might be interested in working on creating an openning for the site (see assignments), I will probably add a jump page there this weekend (or soon) that will force people straight into our site (http://www.swgcommando.com/html/).


• The User Points section (gives users "points" for doing various things on the site like submitting articles, templates, links, comments, etc) was not working properly so I removed it. I will re-add it at a later date when I can get it functioning properly.

Gonna try and upload screenies this weekend, I do do some artwork...and have a sketch of a commando...nothing really fancy or stupendous...but ill see if I can get some commando artwork done in my spare time...

Not that great at guides, may contribute something...

Ill send any ideas that pop into my head...Im not that great at doing website graphic art (heh getting up there, more with pen and pencil)...but I do get ideas now and then...

thx i appreciate the help, im not really sure what could cause it to just close like that so im not sure what id be looking for troubleshooting wise. Mucho Gracias Senior Garvin

Also, garvin...I got a small idea at dinner earlier...an unofficial fan fiction of Stern and other Commandos and adventures and etc in SWG...since my character bio already builds on the stuff ive been doing, wont interfere with that...plus can write some cool ingame experiences...

I believe the site has a fan fic section...if it doesnt, add it...this may be a good idea of mine... heh..

I added a "Commando Logs" topic for submitting articles too...if that doesn't work, I can add a seperate area for just fictional stories if people like...

I'm going to add a few more Flash games tonight (more addictive time wasters I think...)...I'm probably going to remove Frogger as that one doesn't seem too fun to me and isn't getting played much....
