Ok i finally am able to train the skill but when i pull out my FT and try to use it it gives me crap about "This attack cannot be done with this weapon". What in the F%^k is that all about???? Does this attack work for anyone else? Also does it make a difference that i got my FlameThrower as a quest reward?

Possibly. The rewarded FT's haven't been around that long, so they might not be properly set up in the database. Bug it and move on.
