what should i get first? should i master the flame tree first or do it hand in hand

I think mastering a single tree line is better to do so I suggest you go Acid first then worry about the cooler tree lines 
But really out of those two trees I'd go flamer.

Since you get HW XP for using your LP, I would use the LP till you qualify for FT2. Dont worry about your other tree's, because once you get the FT2 you will be able to gain more HW XP and fill those other 2 tree's very fast. If you get the FT4, you are in the money, and you will grab the others fast. And dont forget, you can use all your pistol specials on the LP as well, so use it while you are gaining XP to get FT2.
