I did submit a proposal awhile back to do some serious alterations to the HAR which included range...My goal was to offer ways they could keep the HAR in game while making it actually useful to us...Since the HAR is basically an higher HAM costing Clone of the FT with no DoT it needs some serious work...To give it a DoT would still keep it as a Clone of the FT, and since what we really need is ranged weapon I proposed that they increase it's range to 32m or more preferably 64m and give it AP2 or AP3...this may lead to it's power being slightly lowered, but in exchange for a ranged weapon WITH specials of our own (andAP on a non-consumable)it would probably end up worth it...We'd still get to use the same HAR specials, just at range...
Who knows if they'll listen, but this is definitely where I use the fact that we have Melee and Ranged Pre-Reqs...since we are a mix of both Melee and Range, we should have a range on some of not all of our weapons equal to that mix...that's where 32m comes from...
