Commando Archive

Hi folks - i'm a pistoleer/smuggler/commando (had to have the launcher pistol!) - so

I was noticing the big hoo-ha over looking to get an assault rifle - I have to be honest, I'm notsure it fits with the rest of Commando as it currently stands (tho it's a pretty damn cool idea)- especially sincecarbines/assault rifles seem to overlap in this game anyway.

So an alternative suggestion - a hip fired 'linear accelerator' or 'railgun'.

Effectively, what I'm talking about is a weapon that accelerates a dense projectile, electro-magnetically , toincredibly high speeds.

Theconcepts would be a slow fire,long range, AP3, blast damage weapon.

It's accuracy would be best at 50-65m and appalling close up.

Why blast and not kinetic, since it's a physical projectile?

Well, it's travelling so fast, and it's so dense, when it hits you it's more likebeing hit by a artillery shell than a bullet.

I dpn't know if this is an idea anyone is interested in, but hey, it might stimulate someone to come up with a better idea
