Thread: All you need to know about Grenades.

Upon seeing the deluge of Grenade questions from those seeking to gain Jedihood or for FS mods, and seeing that all the questions are generally the same questions with the same answers. I have decided to take it upon myself to post all the info that I know about grenades.


4,0,0,0 is what one will want if they wish to use better grenades. Thermo Detonator's will be the best grenade one will have access to if they have this line of Commando. **be advised** When purchasing Grenades the #1 attribute you will want is *SPEED!, then *Radious, then *Min damage.

*Power up's are always about so you can augument the damage. Skill tapes from what has been said do not work, do not waste your credits.......the mods' don't work either. Now, unlike the BH bomb droids, grenades WILL HIT YOU....the thrower. Also, when using Grenades alot expect your armor to be shreaded, typically as much damage you will be doing to the target is inflicted on your armor as well.....thus making range an important factor. To get the best Combat exp you'll want to use your Grenades on helpless animals..I.E Quenkers,Maw Gax, and so on. This thread will be a workin progress. If anyone has any additional info/tips please post. Thank you.

Actually, that's not quite true.


Speed is bugged. The /throwGrenade skill/command takes 9 seconds to execute *regardless* of the speed of the grenade.


Thus, what you need is *accuracy* first, then minimum damage, then radius. Even at 4000, your accuracy isn't going to be the best, and if you can throw grenades accurately at a greater distance, it means that you can stand outside the blast area and still hit your targets.


If you're throwing grenades and hitting yourself, you're not using the grenades properly.

Most mobs go melee on you, so if you're using them to grind just walk up to middle of lair, target lair, throw away. When targeting lair you have 100% accuracy.

Also, first tap the lair before you start throwing nades, allow the 4-5 more creatures spawn, so you don't waste grenades doing it twice.

For a more complete guide to grinding with grenades check out the FS forum, they have what I said just a little bit more descriptive all written down.
