Hey all! I've rerolled a new toon and am starting my Commando / MCH template, now that Com is finally getting specials. As a CL22 I've obviously got to grind with the ol' launcher pistol, and while I can occasionally get myself into a generous group of 80's, I find the launcher is an awful choice because the AoE draws lots of bols down on myself and that understanably doesn't go over well the with others who are nice enough to let me in their group.
My thought right now since I do have a Corellian Destroyer (but not the CL to equip it) is to keep grinding CH and add some boxes in Rifles or Pistols, which will give me combat xp for the Nades line and also help get my CL up to the point when I can use the destroyer in a group without pissing everyone off. But on the other hand I hate to spend time grinding boxes in Rifles that I'm not really going to use. I could do it solo, but that is a very slow processes.

Any advice? Did I miss anything, or should I just do the Rifle grind and bite the bullet until I can equip the destroyer?

I agree with Roasty. Though it will be annoying for the melee guys, try to get into a group of melee spinners and just nail the nest. As for you drawing the aggro with the LP with a group of CL80's ... wow. If you get stuck with a group of pullers, have one of them pull, and pull far enough back so your AoE won't splash onto the other mobs. Should be gravy from there!
