like the title says im just starting commando, always wanted to try it since i saw my brother muckle mokk lair missions pre cu. i know its not the same but its on my alt so no big deal. im curious as to what would b a better template over all commando/carbines

or commando/rifles. w/ rifles i could wear better armor for pvp but have less moves i think not to sure. any help from other commando's is appreciated

I play a Commando/Carbineer template and love it. Honestly I think Battle Armor is much better than Recon and Assault armor. Having a decent set of armor with around 6k everything gives you a good defense. Using Recon in pvp will really only benefit going against a Jedi, what if you run across someone like me who sees someone in Recon and pulls out the Kinetic weapons? Carbineer gives you a lot of nice specials, a knockdown in Charge Shot when combined with an AOE weapon will KD a few people, Leg Shot which does a nice bit of damage, Scatter Shot for those Cybernetic Arm wearing people, Suppression Fire to snare a cone which is really handy.

Both templates work really well... you have to remember we can area any other ranged specials (in other words Area Knee Cap shot aka snare and Area Root what-have-You) It really boils down to how you want to work in a group as we work best with others then we do alone anyway. Those r my thoughts
