First let me say a genuine "thank you" for getting around to us. I was personally put off by the lack of specials in the CU, so I'm glad to see them finally added. Looks like you guys focused a lot on grenades this time and AOE effects. I love grenades, so I was glad to see that and it looks like you've added some changes we've all talked about and will really improve the utility of grenades. However, before I get in to try it out the one most outstanding thing about using grenades is this:


Grenades are treated as specials or subject to the weapon switch timer created to do away with "fast switching" several months ago. The result, in game, is that if I use a grenade against any target, worse than aggro, or blast radius or anything is the fact that when I throw that grenade I can no longer use the weapon I was using for several long moments. I stand there, twiddling my thumbs, while I wait for the timer to elapse. Meanwhile, my enemy sneezes at my attempt to blow him to pieces and procees to hammer me into the ground like a tent stake while I do nothing about it. I like the changes you've made with grenades, but it would be really swell, if someone could reclassify them so they are not subject to that annoying timer that ends up getting me killed half the time for daring to use one.


Focus Fire-


This is a fantastic idea and exactly what a Commando needs. However, because you can't use the same special twice ina row in the new system, it means that inevitably you will attack more than one target and get gang moshed for it, so this nullifies any value gained by Focus Fire. You're first shot might only hit one target, great, but your second shot is still going to hit everyone else, so ti will do little good. Perhaps a really fast cooldown for this attack or the exlusive ability to use it multiple times in a row is really the only way to gaurantee it fulfills it's design. Otherwise, there's little point.


Thank you very much for adding these specials and adjusting values for us to help improve us. I would still like to see more "Commando Like" specials and abilities like those associated with stealth and demolitions (ie /placeExplosive, /moveSilently, /stealth, /ecm or something like this) I would also like to see some kind of special for use with our unarmed combat skills, since no other special works with them and these skills remain appropriate to Commando. It would also be nice to see a advanced version of the Launcher Pistol. I love the weapon. It's probably the most signature weapon of our profession, but it has little value because of it's low damage output.


If you do a // and hit <enter> you'll see the command /diffuseMinefield. What's this for? This is something appropriate to us, yet like half the commands in that list, it doesn't work.

Just out of curiosity, why does everyone want an advanced Launcher pistol? I've always disliked the weapon because the idea of a rocket shooting pistol is pretty ridiculous. Personally, I'd rather have a more Star Warsy weapon. But it's still not as bad as a lava or acid cannon. Anyway, I'd just like to know why everybody likes the LP so much.


And Secondly, placing explosives and stealth are going to the rangers, so we have no chance of getting that sadly =(.


But I definitely agree with you on the focus fire, it should be a stance that lasts 20-30 seconds rather than a special, or something we can set as our auto-attack.

I love the launcher pistol because it's the essence of what a commando is: BIG BANGS!!!

That's all, I love the sounds, the effects, and the smoke. It just makes me feel like I'm shooting something big. BH's get scatter pistol, we should get a master version of the launcher pistol. Perhaps it could be black instead of the lower versions grey

I never did like the LP, my fav has always been rocket launcher. That's the weapon I'd most like to see a master lvl version of.
