Tell me about it. The Dev's perception of the profession is so out of whack they refuse to listen to us and probably consider the way our damage output is currently is normal.

Go prone with the flame thrower and you video card with catch on fire. It does more damage too, but not as much as I'd expect.

Hehehehe, I love that. Go prone with a flamethrower. Might indeed increase the power, but come on. If you saw someone with a flamethrower lay down and pull the trigger, they'd probably set themselves on fire! LOL!

After much effort, I finally made novice Commando last night. All I can say is a what a major disappointment. Novice Command requires master marskman, master unarmed, and 40,000 combat points. 40,000 combat points is 400,000 weapons points. I qualified for both novice pistoleer and novice rifleman, and about halfway to novice carbineer just getting the combat points needed.

To get any more experience, I needed a heavy weapon. The only thing I could find was a flamethrower for 48K. So I plunked down 48k for this thing. It does 27 to 208 damage with a 6 second delay and a 48 point HP special cost. It's not THAT bad, but you have absolutely no special attacks to start with. Overcharge shot and the other special attacks won't work with it.

Any noob with Pistol II and a scout blaster can do WAY more damage (like in 2x to 3x more damage). They only get a 1.8 second delay, do about 78 base damage a shot, have very little ham cost, the weapon is only 7k, and they can use overcharge shot, which massively increases the damage.

It takes FOREVER to take out a nest with this thing. The mobs respawn over and over and over and over. I am so tempted to whip out a pistol, carbine, rifle, or my vibro blade and just lay waste to the nest.

One of my other guildies got novice rifleman (which is much easier to get) He plunked down 50k and got a weapon that does 100 to 400 damage (T21 I think), and he is enjoying 1200 - 1400 point headshots.

I don't know how they can possibly make such a difficult profession to attain so lame. It just sucks to a rediculous extent. I can't imagine how I am going to suffer through having to use this lousy thing for a million points of experience or so :{ And then what do I get in the end? This isn't fun. You're supposed to get more powerful as you go along, not get weaker.
