Ok keeping Commando is becoming more and more of a pain. Here is what just happened, I am sure some can relate. I take a mission to kill lizards on Dath. I am fully buffed by a master doctor with health over 3k. Full suit of composite too. I go out with my rancor as tank. I attack the first two lizards and kill them while they attack the rancor. After the lizards are dead I set my rancor on guard while I am 40m away from lair. I one shot lair then peace and wait. Repeat until the next spawn. After one of my peace a lizard spawns directly on top of me 40m out. He hits me two times. Guess where.... The mind with the lame 2.5x penalty... I incap cussing up a storm for how anytime your buffed animals only do mind shots. I get back up and run off so my mind can heal. The lizard is still fighting my animal. Then a rogue baznich decides he wants to mess with me. He attacks 1 hit lands to my mind draining everybit that regened. I am slain by the baznich.

This is the is just silly. Why must we suffer with this 2.5x melee penalty? I was incapped twice then slain for second incap while fully buffed and wearing a composite suit. This is unacceptable and the line keeping me a commando is wearing thin.

Anyone else have a store of frustration with commando?

Why does SWG feel the need to make everything hit your mind when your buffed? It doesnt make sense.. Whats the purpose of having a buff if they will make everything hit mind instead of your buffed health or action?

It's even worse when it happens to you from a spineflap soldier, and is entirely within the realm of possibility.Oh and now, on TC they are testing 20% item decay on incap, so commandos can start gettin prepared to replace that expensive armor and weaponry every day now, you know on top of the already ridiculous costs of you charged weaponry.

Enjoy another kick in the balls from the dev team.

Welcome to a Rifleman's Frustrating life.

I quite frequently die from things most first tier marksman would laugh at.

The mind damage situation really is ridulous right down to the fundamentals, our commando plight notwithstanding.

The mind pool was meant to reflect your character's mental exertion, and was thus drained when undertaking mentally taxing activities, such as a doctor healing a person. Thus, for the pool to also reflect literal physical damage being dealt to your head is pretty ridiculous, especially when another pool already exists which is supposed to be reflective of your physical condition and any damage you may have taken to your person physically.

This is also why skills like mindshot are so out-of-control.

Problem is, considering that there are at least two combat professions which revolve around mind damage (rifleman and swordsman), and because the developers seem to have a hard time admitting the poor design decisions they've made, I doubt this will ever change.

The system will always be in violation of it's own continuity,
