Ok.. flame a way.. ii have figure out that it gives heavy weapon exp but need pistol line for special attack..... so thats that make me a pistoleer that need to be commando to use launcher pistol or comando thats need to be pistoleer???

It is AP0 and its damage is not really very special, any pistoleer that wants to spend the points in rifles, carbines and unarmed just to get this pistol is a nutcase if you ask me. Why not just become a commando and just put points into dirty fighting in smuggler (have all the pre-requisites) then you can use low blow and last ditch with it.

My understanding and the way it seems to play out is this:

1. you get HW XP for launcher,

2. Pistol modifiers and specials can be used with launcher,

Thus:

1. You can't actually use your best pistol (most likely) to get xp and thus need an FWG or Scout at the bare minimum.

Based on this i hunt with my FWG although my good one (60-236 1.1) just broke....and I pvp with my launcher (65-305 1.4). But I think this is moronic. I should get pistol XP for using a launcher PISTOL. And yes since Im going to get a bunch of the combat smuggler and pistoleer bars, i end up having to hunt a lot with my FWG.

I'm a commando/Bounty Hunter and I use my launcher pistol that does 110-345 at 2.1 speed (sliced/powerup used). And I use eye shot and I get about 1100-1700 damage per/shot every 1.5-2 seconds...no misses....God I love it. It's like my mini-flamethrower
