Hello all, I am just about to get Novice and have a few questions.

Which trees should I go up first? I have heard that the Acid tree has some problems?

You should go up the flame tree first. People generally recommend using the launcher pistol until you reach flame 3, but thats a personal preference. The problem with the heavy acid rifle is that the accuracy and speed modifiers in the HAR tree dont stack with the modifiers you get at novice, and none of these modifiers work. The end result is that you never get any faster or moreaccurate than the intrinisic characteristics of the weapon. Plus the HAR specials then take considerably longer the flame specials above novice. And also the HAR specials use a lot of HAM, unlike the flamethrower.

Ancient weapons and hokey religions are no match for a rocket launcher in your backpack.
