Well, I know this combo would be godly in pve, but what about pvp. I want to be good at both but more focused on pvp. I already am a TKM and just got Novice Commando tonight which i will level up ASAP. I am sure I can get good weapons and other gear but would this template cut it in raids or duels against the new FotM professions like Rifleman/TKA? If someone has this combo please tell me some pvp tactics and the pros/cons of this template.

Jenzar,

I have been a master commando / master TK with novice medic and pharm 1 for a very long time. Its pretty good PvE. PvP... well.. thats tough to say. It really depends on your enemy. If they are a rifleman with ( insert any other profession here ) then you will probably lose. Otherwise I do fairly decent in PvP. Depending on who Im fighting and thier style will completly change my tactics. I also have a bio-eng shirt that gives me +5 melee defense and 2 ankuan rings which give me and aditional +20 ranged defense. My defenses currently look like this :

melee + 101 ( plus melee mitigation 3 )

ranged + 105 ( plus ranged mitigation 3 )

vs KD + 25

I cant remember dizzy/stun/ or posture change, but they are all pretty low. Anywhere from + 5 to + 30.

If the person you are fighting against is not wearing armor, you can probably incap them with one special from your flamer ( also depends on buffs, and the possabilities of damage reducing foods ). Otherwise you really need to concentrate on what the other player is doing . In large groups its best to hang back... way back. Let the fencers and swordsman rush, and the rifleman and CM attack mind. You can either hang back and try to fire rockets at any player who is not moving, especially if they are prone or kneeling, or get behind your meleers and use your flame cone 2. Burst running up to someone and hitting them with KD/dizzy from TK and then hitting them with your flamesingle 2 works nicely as well. These are just a few tactics that are pretty easy to employ, other more complicated ones can take some time to really figure out how your profession works. Hope this was some help!

Thanks alot. I'll probaly hang back like you said and pick off the lesser fighters with the Cone. I think that kd2/flamesingle2 would be an instant death to anyone not wearing good composite armor. I hope this template will work out right. I just imagine it as a walking killing machine.

I just gave up that combo. Basically as we all know the only decent weapon a commando has is the flamethrower, now the only weapon the TKM has is knucklers. That means your main damage types will be heat and kinetic. Now on Chilastra, my server, the majority of good armorsmiths can make armor with 90% (after a good effect slice) resists to these two types of damage. I sometimes in PvP could hit people I knocked down for 4000 points with my flame thrower. Now 400 points every 8 seconds is very poor the burn does help but it was nothing a decent mediccannot heal. Also with the recent proliferation of doctors the dizzy can be cured at any time. Now the only other problem with this combo is the lack of accuracy in commando if you do not knock down your target even at master you can miss as much as half the time. But in PvE I had a blast with these professions. A great macro that I used to kill storm troopers goes like this.

I started with my flame thrower equiped.

/unarmedknockdown2

/flamesingle2

This combo owned most humanoid npcs.
