Ok im seeing this...pistoleers get another weapon..So do riflemen, And finally tk's are getting a new weapon.. I was just wondering are any of the devs really programers or do they just come up with stuff from the top of there heads.. This is not a insult just wondering if you have number of programmers to be working on 2 projects? Fixing the problems with this game and SE
Btw this is not a rant.. im just wondering when we are going to get our cookie
All the fixs we have seen lately seem to be things that should have been simple to fix and should have been done in beta.. Such as titles and our HARalso known as theHeavy Arm Rest
Please give us something that we can use in PvP since none of our general weapons have AP and should only be used for
"Speical times"
You feelling this?
Simple and to the point

To be honest, I think it is a big deal when it comes to a profession like ours...first it has to be designed (animation and graphics)...then it has to be balanced (will it be a pistol, rifle, carbine, heavy weapon, etc) and with that effect, who's specials will it use...To add a new pistol or rifle to Pistoleers or Rifleman, all they have to do is create the graphic, soundand animation, then figure out it's power...This new weapon automatically can use all the specials and skill mods that comes with the professions...
Adding a new weapon to the Commando profession includes the possiblity of adding new specials and skill mods...If they just throw us a new weapon with no specials or skill mods we just end up with the same complaints we have about the LP...or if they throw us a weapon that uses the same copied specials as the Flame Thrower we run the risk of another HAR fiasco.
So let's say they decide to give us a new weapon with new specials and skill mods...then comes balancing as compared to other professions (which typically inludes months of us complaining they balanced it wrong)...They also have to consider if they "give us this" will "Profession B" complain about it or demand something for themselves since we got something they feel should have been theres...etc...
We are probably one of the hardest professions to give new weapons too. For Rifleman you just give them a new rifle...For Pistoleers you just give them a new pistol...What do you give Commandos that won't cause the programmers to have to create lots of new lines of programming code and the graphics department have to come up with all types of new art concepts? And if they take the easy road with us, how much will we complain if we get yet another "clone" of a weapon we already have (then they'll just feel we are ungrateful and not worth the trouble)...
So to be honest, I think it's probably something they are avoiding when it comes to us, not because it will unbalance the game in anway, but because it's a pain...Doesn't mean we don't deserve the extra effort though...We need a new weapon or we need a revamp of what we already have...no denying that...

Probably a lot harder, because commando weapons seems to need more sound and visual effects, and that takes some time to produce.

Totally agreed with garvin..but what does this tell us? Rather than giving goodies to other classes..they should be fixing the broken classes that they cant give new goodies..if they're avoiding us on that....how can they possibly say that we're "working as intended" *wink*
