Hi all, I know i'll get flamed on this but here goes.

I've been a MMus for 9 months now and I dearly love the profession but unless I want to prostrate myself before the combat classes mercy and essentially turn into a buffbot I can't earn a single credit. Why? Entertainer missions are broken and nobody tips for healing these days.

I'm maxed on Music and Healing XP and for some reason accomplishing ent missions is linked to xp earned...perhaps they need to use the same system for combat professions, kill the lair and since you have max xp you don't get paid, that seems fair to me. Sure the Entertainer missions are the lowest paying ever but they are something to do that will provide a small living and keep me in the cantina being social. Anyway, that's my rant, can we get some word on this or did I just miss it somewhere?

Ent missions broken...

I guess it's a good thing publish 9 will introduce entertainer quests, huh?

If you an entertainer, you do it for fun. It's not a flame... but don't EXPECT to get credits

Be happy when you do get some, then you won't be so upset if you don't. Personally, if I had relied on tips I'd have absolutely nothing. I have never buff-botted, but I do buff sporadically and it is enough to keep me alive. I don't really spend much so when I do it's on just the things I need. Clothes, clothes, clothes, resources for instruments, tipping medics... You get the idea

It's probably not the kind of answer you wanted, and certainly not the kind of answer I should have to give, but for the moment I think it's the truth. People don't tip like they used to, and that's not likely to change overnight. If you're in desperate need of credits you'll either have to buff (no, buffbotting is not the only way to make credits - try groupbuffing, especially on dantooine or dathomir. Charge each person 5-10K and if you have a group of 5-10 people that's 50-100K in 10 minutes - how much money do you NEED anyway?).

I really don't think this is a flameworthy post, don't know why you were worried about it... it's a valid concern that most of us have

I'm just hoping that the new entertainer quests coming out next week will be fun and profitable!

I just recently bought a couple of personal mining things in the hopes that I can make at least a little off of them so that I can afford to decorate my house... or buy a swoop... or... if I get really lucky manage to pick up some +25 buff tapes

Well I may be one of the only people on TC who tries these missions.

I've completed the first 5 in the series, and not only has each been buggy and that missions#3 and#5 no longer work, but the total payout of the missions so far has been 3,000 credits. TOTAL....combined. I'm logging into TC again in a sec to see if they've fixed anything yet.

Just tried mission three. It is still broken. Maybe these will not be completely fixed until Publish 9.1?

I am sure they are very busy with the Jedi stuff especially since it was postponed a week.

Did you try on both TC and TC-Bria?

Well mine are:

TC: 4340 Music (I think... All tech, All Know and only wound 3)

TC2: Master Music

....and I don't think my TC1 guy could pass Mission 5 anyway. Its real tough.

To address the original post:

Yes Entertainer missions are broken and low value. They have been since launch. I was unaware that they ceased to function after you capped XP. I think the reason for notknowing is that noonedoes them. The fact that they are linked to XP in that way is yet another sure sign of bad code (apparently buffs are linked to the xp gain also in some way and is the reason we cannot self buff). I wonder what else is linked to the entertainer XP code.

No. The quests leading to Jabba are all combat quests (OK and a few escort ones). Also you never really play for him, as Max Rebo is there and already playing.

At this poing there are no "play for Jabba" quests, however there may be something close in the Hutt Casino. Noone knows about it though (or they are not talking), and, like everything (including the second coming), it has been delayed til after JTL.

Not only that, but I found out when I was there that Jabba's throne room isn't classified as a cantina, so you can't heal Mind wounds or BF there
