If it makes you feel any better, I was actually scheduled to work the entire weekend, too...sorta.

I kinda heard about it coming in advance, and put in to have the weekend off in advance...awhole hour before they officially announced it was scheduled.

If it makes you feel better, today at Six Flags I had my glasses ripped from my face and spiral out somewhere underneath the Superman Man of Steel RollerCoaster while on another ride....

Plus faced 2.5 mins of sheer terror on the man of steel...

But then again, save for the glasses being ripped from my face and being lost, that really isnt too bad

Well... let's see...

I used to get 3 days off for the weekend, but due to the shorter days now I get 2. Saturday and part of Sunday. Friday night is spent driving 4.5 hours to get home and unpacking. This weekend, my parents (who are getting up there in years) begged me to drive them to some place in Wisconsin called House on the Rock that happens to be 4.5 hours in the other direction. After getting up early today, driving them there, walking around and losing my Ma (don't worry...we found her!), driving back, and setting up my desktop (since my laptop is on the fritz and is under warrenty, so instead of fixing it myself I had to send it in...), I can relax for a few hours.

Tomarrow I have to pack, break down the desktop, load the ole truck, and drive another 4.5 hours. Sheesh!

Don't get me wrong...it's great spending time with the folks

Next week, we do it again...except I'm hosting a kinda "tailgate" BBQ party. Hmmm...I guess I really don't have anything to complain about!

if its any consolation, my wife and i both have pneumonia, and find ourselves stuck at home instead of work. maybe ill just jump on bria for a while....
