first off: im a respec-sommando, so start flaming me on that one(hmm is that the wrong thing to say to the only prof that can actually USE flamers?)
what is the guessed % chance that my flamethrower makes my target burn? the Examine-window doesn't state even a slight chance, and i see that it doesn't always happens. note that i am using the regular flamer u get at flaming 2.
and does the acid-rifle have a poison/disease DoT?

No flaming of new comandoes from here, just a nice big /flamesingle2 to welcome you to the fold!
Not sure what the percent chance of getting the fire dot to stick is, but when Im using it I can usually stick the dot in 2 to 3 hits with the flamer. However that is using a plasma flamer, not the regular one so it could be diffrent.
And unfortunately, the acid rifle does not have a poison or disease dot. It does however have a chance of blinding youre opponent.

the blind effect is a nice replacement for eyeshot from BH... but it's justnot the same as a a cloud of flames/plasma into an opponents eye...

I've also notced that some enemies ignite more easily that others. This is just observation -- haven't done any detailed anaylsis.

A weaponsmith friend told me he thought it had to do with wound % chance.
I have also noticed that higher level enemies are harder to stick with DoTs and states.
