Thread: my apologies for the stupid questions...

ehm...so I logged on my commando yesterday, for the first time since the curb.
are the consumables not consumable anymore? I noticed I could equip my rocketlauncher, got it to fire by pressing a random special (I'm wondering how I should actually make it fire properly), and the number of uses didn't go down...
equiped the flamethrower, but also had no idea as couldn't find flame special....again pressed a random special and it fired....
so what I want to know:
LP can use pistol specials right? (but LP stats SUCK)
Flamethrower can't use any specials? nor the former consumables?
ehm RL, HPBC, ASL not consumable anymore? (and how to make em fire?)
are grenades even more useless than before? my proton hassomething like 1200 max damage, but 9s attack speed?
one more thing.... just wondering if my old FTs are any good:
pre-curb: 2.5s 916 max damage
post curb: plasma 2.65s (1.94 mod speed) 395-931 dam (407DPS) 126 elemental damage, 122 sac
I also had a 3.3s 1176 max....but I guess that one will come out even worse (don't have those new stats atm)
edit: it's 2.79 (2.04 mod speed) 474-1010 (425dps) 126 elem dam, 122 sac

I understand 100%. Happened to me - but i've pretty much figured everything out now.
First: All consumable weapons, such as the rocket launcher, are no longer consumable. Basically they have infinate ammo like any other weapon.

Second: Commando's have no specials anymore.... none... zero... nadda. If you want to use specials, you have to learn another ranged combat profession and use their specials.
Elaborating on that subject - all earned/learned specials that you have can be used in conjuction with any weapon or profession. My favorite example is "Sniper Shot" For riflemen being used with a flame thrower (Although recently they patched that so that the sniper shot has a minimum 20 meters in order for it to work.) So flame away with a shatter shot or maybe stopping shot 
Third: Your flame throwers, more-so the second one, are top-line for the most part. The SAC will tear you apart and make you loose battles - but the damage/speed is right at the peek of the best of the best. ThoughI have a better plasma its very minimally better (mainly because my SAC is 102
)))). I have seen other flame throwers better then mine. But for the most part - you've got good plasma flame throwers.
**NOTE: We don't have any more specials, however, we are supposed to be doing AoE and have specials "built" into the weapons we use. Although the AoE is there, it only does full damage to the first target and only does the elemental damage (if your lucky) to all the other opponets in the area. This can be VERY dangerous as its basically an Agro-Weapon - pissing off all your enemies all at the same time, but only hurting one at a time.

Consumables are now "Rifle" type heavy weapons and work just like another weapon albiet with our crummy AOE. Grenades are borked as far as I know. You're flamer is okay, but nothing to take a second look at (the second higher damage one is good except for the high SAC). Basically we don't have anymore specials. Instead, all of our weapons have an intrinsic "ability" whether it's a chance to place a DoT, blind, KD. And a lot of our weapons are Area Of Effect weapons. Any "ranged" specials from any profession can be used with our weapons and states stack in that matter. For instance if you fire a shot from pistoleer that stuns the target using a Heavy Acid Rifle, you have a chance to both stun and blind your opponent. Hope this helps.

ehe now to find a nice list with the damage/sac/cooldown mods of all specials....
and I'm wondering what I'm going to do with the 50 crates of RL and HPBC I still have lol....
mmm...I made a pretty good HAR pre-curb (3s 780max I think), who knows, it might not be totally useless post curb
