Besides holding open doors an propping up wonky legs on furniture that is.
Quite by accident I found it. Now it may seem a trifle distasteful to some, but if you keep the Sun Tzu phrase "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer", it should be bearable enough to accomplish what you need. AOE groups. Yup all those crazy AOE groups that go and do insane killing so that the grind is more bearable for them are the perfect match for the commando needing xp. These groups dont mind the crazy mob pulling of our AOE weapons because, well, lets face it we don't do enough damage to get the aggro on ourselves, and when our dots/blinds/KDs/Whatever stick, they make someones job easier. In one of these groups I saw a commando go full template in a short amount of time. She was cute too. So to all you commando's out there trying to get xp, this is what you have been waiting for.
I know, I know, its not that great of a message of hope, but at least it is some!

Very true ... i was in a jedi spiner groupand the jedi was keeping the argo. I just sat there and flamed all and applied snares and other states i was able to. Only problem came down when theres a another lair near by and a spark from my PFT hits them .... all most got the group killed and got some major hate from the group.

Grinding a lair with my nades and torch is just to much fun. lvl 82 pickets swarming around piling up where you can't see anything. AWESOME

Ahh ok
I married a guildmate earlier in the month, who for a week or so before then was grinding up to Master Commando (tried right after the CU and loved it, but she had a hard time grinding because of groups and the AoE), in Dantooine grinding groups (I helped her get to a non-AoE weapon, and showed her some tricks in managing her AoE, and she also was grinding...and still is...FS so she owned her own groups).
Well lets just say her avatar is cute ingame, and I had to fight off some guys
