commando (n): a member of a military unit trained as shock troops for hit-and-run raids

now, i just got this off the dictionary, but use it when you think about commando ideas, no super-heavy weapons (nuclear, come on), commandos are not close ranged because they are not meant to be seen at all, this games version of commando is not accurate as to what a real commando is

oh, i forgot games were supposed to be ultra realistic,while your at it, lets take out cloning, and krayts, jedi's, lightsabers, storm troopers, ewoks, cryobane grenades, droid engineers, swoops, twileks and replace them with schools, and fast-food restaurants, taxes, ghettosand librarys, thats much better isnt it

i am of course being sarcastic, but really, youve done umpteen posts about what a commando is in RL, but is this real life? NO! its a game

If you are talking what a real commando is, you need to get rid of your "Rambo in training" tag. Anyone who has worked with realSpecial Forces (whichI have) knows that if someone really did what Rambo did he would have been killed many times. There is a arms room at Ft Bragg, NC that is part of the SF training school. They have some pretty heavy weapons in there.

Ive even seen footage of a shaped charge that you can set down in the middle of a concrete & rebar bridge and blow a huge hole in it. As to nucular weapons, ever hear of backpack nukes? Its a nucular bomb that is the size of a clothing trunk. The russians developed it a long time ago. So if in the SWG universe they are more advanced then us, it goes to show you that maybe they could have developed more sophisticated weapons then we have now.

So keep playing the game and wait till you have a few more posts till you start ragging on things you dont know about

I have worked with SF too. But gentelmen this is a Science Fiction game!!!. Things are meant to be a bit wild. And take it easy on the guy with the rambo tag. Remember the cloonewar in episode 2? the clones walked with their blaster rifles shoting from the hip not takeing cover.

If you want realisme join the army!!!

I think what he is trying to say is that our commando needs to actlike a commando and not a novice marksman with a flamethrower. The flamer is the only working commando weapon in the game that is useful to us, leave the LP out.

yeah so while we are at it lets give fencers a rocket launcher since names are not ment to describe the profs. Commandos were actually also trained to hand to hand combat as well.

Remember how everyone freakedwhen Leia took out the thermal detonator in ROTJ. I don't seem to get the same reaction when I throw one in game.

yeah I also forgot about in one of the books (the one where Chewie dies) someone has a thermal detonator and is makes a small nuclear explosion. So I guess we already have nukes in the game, just really really really really tiny lame ones.
