I figured commandos could lay mines, but I can't. I'm 3-2-3-1. Little help here?

The only way I know of to put down mines is by placing em inside already existant mine fields you purchase from faction recruiters.

We have grenades which we can ineffectually throw at targets and cause more damage to ourselves than to our opponent.
Or you can purhase mines with faction points and place them in a faction mine-field.
We can't place them from a profession skill, because there is no such skill. Would be nice, and appropriate, but nope.

Well, I'm a MWS on Tempest and just sold my first batch of mines, on order. The guy that bought them got 15 out of the crate then had the "this item has been removed from the game and should be deleted from inventory" message, or something like that. Trying to recall the workaround from that bug, the ones that were out didn't work... not sure now if he couldn't lay them or they couldn't go off. Apparently, after more discussion with others, we end up with the impression that XG mines are bugged and unuseable. Anyone know what's up with that?
