Thread: My First 2 Krayts :D

Well I finally tried it yesterday. I have MTK for defences but I never used those attacks once. I used my 1125DMG sliced FT, some Proton grenades (sliced + PUPed), and some sliced Rocket Launchers. I was spamming Flame Cones and Singles to get the burn to stick. I also used intimidate when my health was getting passed half way. I have NO MEDIC skills what-so-ever so I could only rely of buffs. I ended up getting a Krayt Pearl and 2 Tissues from the 2 giant canyon krayt dragons.
This just proves with 80% Composite armor, MTK, and Master Commando, without heals just buffs, can solo a krayt. I'm hoping to do some more today

Congrats, butnow just try taking out 2 ancient krayt dragons in 2 hours with just master commando and smuggler and a master doc with only the sniper tree of rifleman who only had a crap T21 that had no experimentation. All i got was 7 identical krayt tissues from one and nothing from the other /cry at least the tissues were pretty good though +57 damage -.72 speed....But any way congrats

Well because he KD/Dizzy me the whole time, it took about 20-30 minutes each.

Well, my friend, you sealed the deal for me. I am close to becoming a Master Commando, and after watching my MTKA friends kick so much booty, and doing the math, I decided on that combined template, even though its a rare combo. I love being a Commando, despite all the problems, and rather than complain about our inability to compete in some game areas, I figure that's why they have other professions to master -so we have those defense mods. And now, knowing that taking down a Krayt is possible, its on! On top of that, Krayts have good loot to improve our weapons, and I could always use a faster flame thrower.

I managed 3 more Giant Canyons yesterday. Got some non-yellow-text tissues, 3 yellow-text scales, and more non-yellow-text scales.

Wow. I have got to go after some of these. Anyone have any idea what caliber of xp these creatures generate?

commandos max out at 3000xp per kill, any other prof can get up to 5k xp, but people dont hunt krayts for xp, hunting krayts requires great skill (and patience for that matter, spawns are getting rare)
p.s. you hunt krayts for the loot as krayt loot is some of the most valuable in the game
